Lycan Electronics and You

Email Me Prophet on Twitter Prophet on Bluesky -
Ever put something off Absolutely Convinced that you'll get around to doing it?

Well... that's been the past couple of weeks for me. o.o

On the Plus Side:

- I Finally finished and posted some new product! = D

It's another one of my fave styles of merch: Fake Logos for Stuff. This time, it's a werewolf themed audio company called 'Lycan Electronics'. Like my 'Silver Bullet Industries' design, I was going for a particular feel. This is done up like a mid 70's audio company. I did my best to keep it more "Audio" and less "Computer" while still keeping it in-line with that era of logo designs.

It was a bare logo for a like a year before I came up with the idea of pulling from an actual ad campaign. It was a toss up between RCA's "Little Nipper" (A dog looking into a Gramophone's horn) or the 80's Maxell "Blown Away" guy (Dude in a chair being blow back by the clarity of Maxell's sound reproduction). I went with a take on Maxell. = )

If you want a fun fake logo to confuse your friends and worry your relations, you can get it on the RedBubble shop Here. -> https://www.redbubble.com/shop/ap/174276573

- I'm getting faster on my Tablet PC Thingie!

When I'm not working on Non-Biff stuff, I like to practice inking and drawing in general on my Fujitsu Lifebook (My Tablet PC Thingie). The goal is to get used to working on things in SketchBook Pro. I figure that if I'm more comfortable with it and know what all is where when it comes to setting and options, I'll be able to more easily goof around and draw instead of playing "What's this Button Do?" when I'd rather be working.

This is similar to how I learned Fireworks and Illustrator (before I took classes for it) back in the day. It Seems to be working, too. You can see it in the progress shots I've been posting to my Instagram and elsewhere.

Bonus: At least one of those pics will end up on stuff at some point. The previously mentioned werewolf was also a recent SketchBook practice piece that I finished off in Illustrator 'cause Vector Pics Rule. = )

The only real Downside isn't from the past few weeks but what's coming. My workspace is terrible and needs cleaning. I can't keep moving things from my scanner to the Art Desk to some other random flat spot. I need to clean things up and that Might interfere with the comic getting posted. I also have some site stuff that needs updating and I need to figure out why this comic was being pulled from its Pre-Update Folder and sent live hours before Midnight my time - a thing it has done fine enough Right up until just a few hours ago. o.O

Anyhoo! Yeah... Fun Times here at the House of Amill - both in the True and Sarcastic sense. I'm going to stretch, maybe grab a bowl of Monster Cereal and put in some work on my current pic being used for inking practice.

Remember: Stay Safe. Wear a Mask if you need to. Get vaccinated if you can. Get a booster if you're already good on all that. And remember to keep your head up.

Things seem dark but we can make it through if we have each other's backs and fight against it.

*Poof*
